I just HAD to place an order for the new whipped toppings cream soap -- it was so fantastic on top of the rainbow scrub! I've been using Squeaky as a shower gel and it works OK, but it's nice to have a proper shower product finally!

Finally pulled the trigger on my inaugural order, which is:

My savings was the shipping or the cost of the PP. I need more whipped soap and scrubs like a hole in the head, but I figured I might as well try them. I asked for samples of Soulmate, which Beverly said would be released soon due to the good feedback she's received on the samples, and Shine+. The sample of Shine Sweetie I used the other night worked fine, but I'd like to experiment with the others to see how well they work for my hair.

Checkout is very odd, even though I expected it after reading a recent post on FB about it. It took me a few tries to finally get it to work. Creating an account in the middle of the process didn't help.

OK, I stand totally corrected on my unfounded fear that Bev would no longer be posting sales or news here on the pink forum. She sent me a very nice PM saying that she definitely would be posting sales/notices here, but that she'd just gotten behind with all the things she's working on. Hey, if "things she's working on" means Soulmate and other new goodies, I'm OK with that! (Hee!)

Oh -- Candy Coated Clowns! That lovely fruit punch scent from the halloween set! (How funny that such a sweet, fruity scent carries such a weird name!) Does CCC work well in wash-off products, such as Poo or scrubs? I remember it lasted for hours in the anti-frizz product.

(ETA: On second thought, I guess "Candy Coated Clowns" is a pretty "fruity" name after all, isn't it! So it's appropriate!)

Haha... Yeah, I actually thought of that named from a song in my favorite movie. "candy coated clown they call the sandman" by Roy Orbison in Blue Velvet. So that is where the name came from. I was trying to think of something scary, for the Halloween theme, but kept coming back to candy coated clown.

Ah, but clowns can be terribly scary. My children's dentist had to remove the life-sized clown doll from her waiting area because so many little kids would burst into tears when they saw it.

(So that's where the Sandman scent name came from!)

Oh, yummy!! The coconut pecan bundt cake items arrived today!!! And Steph!! You are the GREATEST! My son loved both of the samples you sent -- Candy Apple and Voodoo Berry. The Voodoo Berry scent was a wonderful surprise -- BOTH of us liked it! Such a well-rounded, tart, tangy scent that isn't the least bit sharp or pungent. Ah yes, I forsee yet another order in the making. . .

I've never been able to accurately detect apple scents. To my nose, apple fragrances have no fragrance! But I asked my son, who really likes it, and he said the Candy Apple smells more like a red apple than a green apple, and that it's not a strong, tart smell.

Sounds good! Though I expected someting fruitier with that juicy colour.
