It says it's for creating sleek looks, and is similar to a gel product. I'd like to get this to add to my roots maybe when hair is damp for volume... not sure if this would work for that.. would love to hear if anyone has done that successfully. Thanks

Speaking only on behalf of my own wimpy hair, Glissade doesn't add volume so much as it adds texture, which is why I love it. I tried the "add it only to the roots" technique and it did add a bit of loft, but not enough to replace a volumizer. I use Glissade and a volumizer together, and they sync perfectly. If my hair were thicker, I'd be tempted to try the Glissade on its own because I love how it textures my hair.

For me it works well as styling foam and thus adds volume to my fine hair. But my hair is only about chin length in the longest layer. Maybe it´s that?
